The Netherlands hit with 3-week lockdown, clubs forced to close

Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte announced the beginning of a three-week isolation. This comes after the Netherlands recorded the highest number of cases in a single day, despite the fact that approximately 85 percent of the country's adult population is fully vaccinated.

Nightclubs opened in the Netherlands just two months ago, but now they will be forced to close their doors every night by 21:00.

Local businesses have been hit hard: restaurants, bars and non-essential shops are forced to close between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. This is also a major blow to sporting events that fans will not be allowed to attend. However, theaters, cinemas and schools will be open for three weeks.

You can see the full list of new restrictions here.

This happened after the Amsterdam Dance Event and A State Of Trance took place a few weeks ago. This is a major setback for the event industry, as other shows may be canceled or postponed.
